In the second half of the twentieth century, Mennonite settlers contributed to unprecedented growth in Bolivia’s eastern lowlands. For the fifth annual lecture of the Centre for Transnational Mennonite Studies, Dr. Ben Nobbs-Thiessen (Chair in Mennonite Studies at the University of Winnipeg) explored how the experiences of Mennonite frontier farmers converged with those of Indigenous migrants from the Andes and Japanese and Okinawan settlers.
