The Plett Foundation offers research and publication grants for projects that fall under its mandate, to support the production and dissemination of historical knowledge about the Mennonites who came to Manitoba, Canada, in the 1870s, their antecedents in Europe, and their descendants around the globe

In recent years the Plett Foundation has supported the production of community histories, documentaries, and maps, research trips to distant archives, the hosting of scholarly conferences, and more.
