CTMS Annual Lecture: Mennonites and the F-Word in the Era of Women’s Lib

Apr 23 7:00PM

University of Winnipeg, Convocation Hall

Dr. Marlene Epp, professor emeritus of history and peace and conflict studies at Conrad Grebel University College, will deliver our tenth annual CTMS Lecture, “Mennonites and the F-Word in the Era of Women’s Lib.” This lecture will explore the impact of second wave feminism on Mennonites, through news and opinions in the Mennonite press. As the United Nations declared 1975 to be International Women’s Year, Mennonites were polarized yet could hardly be immune to ‘women’s lib’ transforming their churches and households.

The lecture will be followed by a reception with refreshments.

A live stream will be available below. Register to receive an email reminder the day of the event.
